Here are a selection of TEDxAuckland 2012 speakers photos taken by me on instagram from the audience with no flash on an iPad. They appear in order of their appearance on the day. Many of the photos were tweeted on the day and the last 1 was on an iphone as the batteries ran out on ipad.
All talks were filmed by 3 broadcast quality video cameras and videos will be available in a few weeks. The challenge now is what to do about the ideas in the talks.
The talks by Dr Assil Russell on the icare (Iraqui dental charity), Dr Paul Wood on personal development and the Ross Sea talk at the end by Peter Young contrasted quite vividly with the other talks.
All of them were good to great and I suspect the wet hot beauties and 100days project will have more active participants as well. In some ways it’s too soon to pick the top talk as in the longer term the bets ones will be those that change the most lives for the better.
One of the benefits of the TEDx format is being able to present a multi disciplinary group of speakers who might not get a chance to present that often outside of specialist conferences.
It is the cross pollination of ideas and people on the day and following that helps to generate change and hopefully personal and community growth.
Thanks again to all the speakers, sponsors, helpers and attendees at TEDxAuckland 2012
